Hydroseeding or hydraulic mulch seeding, hydro-mulching, hydraseeding is a seeding process that uses a slurry of seed, fertilizer, and mulch. It is often used as an erosion control technique on construction sites, as an alternative to the traditional process of broadcasting or sowing dry seed.
The experts at Essential Landscaping & Irrigation only use the finest hydroseeding products available and use a turf-type tall fescue seed. Our Hydroseeding mixture includes hydro-mulch, seed and fertilizer, we also add very important products such as microbial bacteria, that has microorganisms - germination enhancements - which assist with quicker and better germination, to help provide a healthier root system.
Also included is our all-natural bio-stimulant which enhances fertilizer and increases the fertility of the soil. The micronutrients, complex carbohydrates, enzymes, and vitamins encourage natural growth stimulants, not found in traditional fertilizers. This stimulates a natural biological activity in the soil to help grass obtain nutrients the way mother nature intended - naturally!
Other products that may be added to a hydroseeding mix are products called tackifiers that help hold the materials on a hillside and hard to seed areas, they also help seal moisture in hotter temperatures we may add co-polymers that hold 400 times their weight in water and slowly release it as the moisture is needed. The results are more fertile soil with healthier grass.
Sodding can give you an instant lawn, that may be walked on soon after planting. Essential Landscaping & Irrigation will use only the finest products available. We will install sod by pushing edges and ends against each other, tightly, without stretching we will lay two or three rolls of sod along a straight edge, if available.
We will install using brickwork or stair-step pattern for the job. Doing it this way is faster and keeps the seams from lining up, which looks healthier.
